Sonant 1.1.10 is the current version, released 26 October 2026. Direct downloads update themselves through the app; the Setapp edition updates through Setapp. Older versions are listed below, newest first.

Welcome steps and smoother Settings.
- On first launch, five short pages show how Sonant works on a small Mac screen: playing and pausing, scrubbing and skipping, holding for Now Playing, the right-click menu with your shortcuts, and Power Mode. Settings > General > Help shows them again.
- The mode switches in Settings > Power slide smoothly from one mode to the next.
- When a full-screen app hides the menu bar, a click near the top of the screen no longer reaches the pill.
- Sonant's windows no longer go full screen from the green button.
- Settings > About names Sparkle, the updater Sonant uses, with its license.

Sonant 1.1.9 - Progress bar fixes.
- On Macs whose region writes decimals with a comma (Turkey and much of Europe), the progress bar no longer jumps back to the start, and Apple Music tracks show their length again.
- After you drag the progress bar, it stays where you let go.

Sonant 1.1.8 - Audio sources, lyrics and energy.
- System Audio is gone: macOS does not tell other apps what a browser plays, so browser control was never reliable. Sonant now works with Apple Music and Spotify and no longer asks for Accessibility.
- The Audio Output menu is gone; the sound menu in the macOS menu bar does the same.
- The pill follows the player you used last.
- The sleep timer pauses every player that is playing.
- Now Playing lyrics wrap instead of cutting off.
- Play with nothing open starts Music, or Spotify if you used it last.
- Hiding the pill's visualizer also stops audio capture, and capture no longer runs while nothing plays.
- Clearer setup and settings, and small fixes.

- Only Sonant keys unlock Sonant, and network errors never remove a key.

- New default track shortcuts: Control-Option-Command Left and Right. Shortcuts you set yourself stay.

- Settings reorganised into Pill, Widget, Menu, Power, Shortcuts, General and About. Power Mode tuning now lives in Settings; the right-click menu keeps the mode switch.
- Onboarding asks whether Sonant should open at login.
- Widget: new options to open it at launch and to hide the pill while it is open. The close button moved inside the corner.
- Low Power mode now removes the visualizer from the pill instead of leaving a gap, and stops audio capture right away.
- New capsule buttons, Liquid Glass on macOS 26.
- The Spotify account link is retired; Spotify playback control is unchanged.

Sonant 1.1.1 - Build fix.
Fixes a packaging mistake in 1.1.0 that prevented launch on macOS 14 and 15. The compiler had been pinning the binary to the SDK's own version (macOS 26) instead of the documented 14.2 minimum, so the macOS loader on older systems was rejecting the app before it could start.
Same features as 1.1.0 - no behavior changes, no migration. This is purely a build correctness fix. Sorry for the trouble.

- New Settings window with five sections - Customization, Widget, General, Accounts, About. Everything that used to live at the bottom of the right-click menu now has a dedicated home one click away.
- New always-on widget. A floating Liquid Glass panel that shows the now-playing track wherever you drag it. Toggle artwork, title, artist, progress bar, transport buttons, and the current lyric line independently. Quick-toggle from the menu, full controls in Settings → Widget.
- Customizable global keyboard shortcuts. Change ⌘⇧ Space / ⌘⇧ ← / ⌘⇧ → to any chord, or disable them entirely. Settings → General → Keyboard Shortcuts.
- Pill is now configurable. Hide the album art, visualizer, transport buttons, or track title independently. The pill width auto-shrinks to match what you've left visible.
- Right-click menu can be trimmed. Hide Up Next, Love / Suggest Less, Audio Sources, Power Mode, Listening Stats, and Recently Played sections individually.
- Lyrics ribbon now line-wise, with a smooth Apple-Music-style slide between lines.
- Cleaner rounded corners on the right-click menu and Now Playing preview - the shadow halo now traces the rounded shape exactly.
- Many small fixes: progress bar in the widget actually scrubs, hover animations on all transport buttons, smoother window backgrounds against bright wallpapers.
